Mary Queen of Scots Embroidery

Own image taken at the Cloth works which is part of the V&A Museum in London, which i visited in January 2014 with my Mam and this piece of embroidery was created by Mary Queen of Scots about 1570 in England and it was embroidered in cross stitch with silks, with gold tissue and mounted on to silk velvet.
I was amazed and shocked that Mary Queen of Scots was very good at doing embroidery by hand because during the Elizabethan era all embroidery designs were created by hand and machinery did not exist during this era.
