Fur and animal treatment in the fashion industry

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/10664089/Fur-lovers-banned-from-Mahiki-nightclub.html
Guests wearing fur will be turned away and others will be given badges saying “No Fur” at the door
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/10664089/Fur-lovers-banned-from-Mahiki-nightclub.html
I was surprised when I looked at this report because it is idea that has never been done before, it is very brave movement because it shows that some people do care how animals are treated, I have no problem wearing fake fur or vintage fur or anything else but real fur I will never wear because of the unethical treatment of animals and I believe it is wrong to treat animals in a cruel way.
http://fashionwithaheart.wordpress.com/2012/05/06/animal-cruelty-in-the-fashion-industry/
I strongly feel that the treatment of animals in the fashion industry is more looked that why can't we do the same on the environment, working conditions and treatment of humans in the fashion industry?, because they are also important ethical issues in the fashion industry.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/more-shops-ban-the-sale-of-angora-wool-after-video-exposes-cruelty-9009003.html
I am happy that some fashion companies and labels are banning the use of Angora fur and I am appauled that bunny rabbits are treated this way by the cruelty of farming for fur and I also find this to be heartbreaking because I love bunnies as they are my favourite animal because like them I eat and love to eat my vegetables, they are so sweet and cuddly animals.

The Truth about GAP INC Bad Press

I have looked at a fashion label or company called GAP which has had a lot of bad press over years concerning Child Labour in Third World Countries.
http://www.theguardian.com/business/2005/jul/14/globalisation
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/dec/14/bangladesh-clothes-factory-workers-jump-to-death

dhaka factory fire
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/dec/14/bangladesh-clothes-factory-workers-jump-to-death

Also in 2010 27 factory workers were killed and over 100 factory workers were injured in a fire factory in Bangladesh. This is one of the worst fashion labels for ethics in the fashion industry. The company claims it is doing more to prevent this happening but in reality it is not helping very much.
http://www.theguardian.com/business/2004/may/13/7
The company has admitted in the past it has used child labour in their factories.
http://www.theguardian.com/business/2007/oct/28/ethicalbusiness.india

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/1567849/Gap-sweatshop-children-saved-in-India-raid.html
I did not know how unethical or bad the GAP brand was until I looked at it's bad press from the past, it is shocking how they managed to get away with this for so long, it is absolutely disgraceful and more needs to be done sooner rather than later before it is too late.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/1567849/Gap-sweatshop-children-saved-in-India-raid.html
Have a look at these past news stories about GAP INC you would find this to be shocking and horrifying.

The Dolce and Gabbana Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2014 Collection uses florals, embellishment and romantic colours in their designs and I love how they used the florals and the fabrics in a delicate and floaty way.
Prada Spring/Summer 2014 Collection
I like how the brand used embellishment and mixed with digital print, it is quite colourful but it also the collection has a very quirky feel and it makes the collection have a more three dimensional feel to the heavy embellishment to the designs.
Prada, British Vogue, March 2014 Issue.

 Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2014 Collection
I liked how it used the delicate fabrics with the choice of different shades of blues and purples in these designs and it has sort of an ethereal feel to the collection. I would say that they had used expensive but soft but delicate light fabrics rather than heavy fabrics.
Giorgio Armani, British Vogue, March 2014 Issue.

Peter Pilotto Spring/Summer 2014 Collection
I love how the designer duo of the brand called Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos used bright, bold and vibrant colours, shapes and patterns in their designer brand.
